日本学校音楽教育実践学会の概要

本学会は教育現場における理論と実践の往還を本質とする「音楽教育実践学」という学問分野の構築を目指して1996年に設立されました。以降30年以上にわたって、日本の学校音楽教育の改善に尽くしてきました。本学会の特徴は、学校の音楽教育研究に特化している点にあります。そのため、学会の会員は、学校音楽教育に関心をもつ、大学の教員、大学院生、幼稚園・小学校・中学校・高等学校・特別支援学校の教員、行政関係者など、学校音楽教育に直接かかわるメンバーで成り立っています。

本学会の信念は「理論と実践に裏付けされた音楽授業の創造」です。私たちにとっての研究対象は、日々の音楽科の授業実践およびそこで表現する子どもたちです。研究の主なテーマは、子どもの音楽経験と思考、音楽科の教科内容やカリキュラム、音楽科の教材の働きと開発、音楽科の授業デザインなどです。また近年ではICT活用や教科横断的な学習など新しい時代に対応した音楽授業の創造も積極的に行っています。それらの研究成果と課題については年に一回開催される全国大会や出版物を通して発信をしています。

The Society was established in 1996 with the aim of creating OR further enhancing the academic field of “Music Education Practice,” which fundamentally involves the interplay between theory and practice in educational settings. For over 30 years since its founding, the Society has dedicated itself to improving school music education in Japan. The defining feature of the association is its specialization in research on school music education. Consequently, its membership includes individuals directly involved in school music education: university faculty, graduate students, teachers from kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, and special needs schools, as well as administrative officials.

The association’s guiding principle is “the creation of music lessons grounded in theory and practice.” Our research subjects are the daily practices In music classes and the children expressing themselves within them. Primary research themes include children’s musical experiences and thinking, music subject content and curriculum, the function and development of music teaching materials, and music lesson design. In recent years, we have also actively pursued the creation of music lessons adapted to the Present era, such as those utilizing ICT and interdisciplinary learning. We disseminate the results and challenges of this research through our annual national conference and publications.
